60 days to change your mindThe Zodiac from Scarpa returns new and evolved this season while still retaining its mountain roots and technical capabilities.
The Zodiac approach shoe is a versatile, robust and well-fitting walking shoe. It is great for technical approach walking, via ferrata, climbing and hiking. Designed by Scarpa using all the skills they have developed over the years creating climbing shoes and mountaineering boots, the result is a comfortable shoe with an accurate fit, and vibram soles for fantastic grip on all surfaces.
The new Zodiac boasts a Vibram sole, which is very rigid and provides a climbing area at the forefoot. The low lacing helps to ensure a sure fit of your foot, letting you accurately and precisely place the shoes for the best holds. The Zodiac incorporates the Sock Fit, a soft tongue system that allows for optimal fit around the foot. Its suede leather upper with Cocona lining makes the shoe very comfortable and breathable.
Construction/technology:
Upper: suede leather 1.8mm with Perwanger treatment (waterproof and robust).
Sock Fit: Precise and snug sock-like fit. Tongue and collar section made from a single piece of S-TECH Schoeller (elastic soft-shell) which envelops the foot. Low lacing for a personalized and precise fit.
Lining: Natural coconut fibre - anti-bacterial, anti-odour and highly breathable
Autofit Collar: ergonomic upper design to avoid creating pressure points on the Achilles heel and the ankle.
Sole: Drumlin sole unit: double density EVA + PU to ensure optimum precision and high quality cushioning. VIBRAM outsole with hard rubber and a crampon attachment point to improve longevity without compromising on precision and performance.
