Winter vacation is up and you are shopping online to find the best ski equipment for the whole family. Which ski pants should you choose for my child? Which brands should you give preference to? Should they be with or without gaiters? Snowleader will help you answer all these questions so that you can choose the right snow pants for your toddlers. You can also check out children’s trousers by Roxy, Columbia and Norrona brands, as selected by your online shop.

Our tips for choosing children’s ski pants

As with adults, children’s ski pants must meet various criteria so that they provide optimum protection for your little ones. Apart from the functions of heat retention, keeping out water and wicking away perspiration, snow pants need to fulfil several other ‘duties’. Preferably, they should be flexible, so that they are the right size for the little ones without restricting movement. It’s also best to pick designs with a zip which will be easier for your boy or girl to put on or down. You should go for a resistant material so your kid can all without tearing his/her pants. Finally, it’s best to plump for ski pants with gaiters. This will stop snow from getting in their shoes and their feet from getting wet while they are out making snow angels after the third ski fall.

The ski suit: the alternative to snow pants

Aside from a pair of classic snow pants, you might decide on a children’s ski suit. This will mean your kiddies can roll around in the powder snow or go tobogganing without worrying about the cold or snow. The ski suit is completely waterproof and a smart alternative to pants. However, do make sure that it fits his or her body type properly and doesn’t restrict freedom of movement.
