Torque

The Torque is a unisex climbing shoe from the American brand So iLL.

Designed in collaboration with Fred Nicole, the Torque is handcrafted and built on a new sloping shape. The upper is made from unlined vegan microsuede , yet remains extremely comfortable and durable. It also features an integrated tongue and tear strip, as well as a high-performance Velcro strap fastening that offers a precise fit and excellent freedom of movement at the ankle, allowing you to change direction with ease.

Its midsole consists of a moulded panel along the outer edges that traverses the centre of the boot to the toes, providing rigidity. Its clogs-style shape allows the foot to flex freely whilst maintaining rigidity.
For excellent adhesion/grip and durability, the ultra-thin, split outsole is made from high-performance Vibram XS GRIP rubber, with extra thickness under the heel and toes. This makes for Torque a versatile, rigid shoe with a large contact surface, allowing for solid footholds—including on heels—for effective bouldering, both outdoors and indoors.
