







The Phantom 8000 is a mountaineering boot from Scarpa.
Designed to climb the world's highest peaks, the Phantom 8000 is the Italian brand's flagship for performance and warmth in the most extreme cold conditions.
The outer shell as well as the integrated gaiter host a waterproof and breathable H-Dry membrane combined with elastic S-Tech Shoeller fabric and durable PU Tek fabric. Insulation is provided by a aluminium layer which retains heat better, and a cork layer combined with EVA foam.
The liner is also made up of layers to ensure the best possible insulation, including Primaloft Gold 200 G/m2, which provides the best heat-retention on the market, and TH5 insulation (EVA and 5mm thick cork).
On the practical side, the Sock-Fit technology and the Flexseal waterproof zip allow the shoe to be fully opened, even with gloves, for easy sock-like fit.
The Carbon Tech insole is composed of EVA foam providing cushioning and comfort. A aerogel insulator completes the insulation. The carbon fibre adds rigidity and precision in the decisive moments, not to mention the weight that it saves.
As for the outsole, Scarpa has called on Vibram and its Gravity outsole to equip its Phantom 8000; it is a light, robust outsole that guarantees excellent precision.
The Phantom 8000 is compatible with automatic and semi-automatic crampons, allowing you to tackle the most difficult routes with confidence, and also features an integral stone guard for maximum protection in rocky passages.
