Salewa® has developed its own fleece, Polarlite®, made from synthetic microfibres. It is particularly light and quick-drying. It retains heat well and can be compressed into a rucksack. Salewa® uses Polarlite® in different weights according to the principle of body mapping, to deliver targeted heat exactly where the body needs it. Fleece is extremely versatile. Polarlite® is used to make fleece jackets, as an inner lining for jackets, as a membrane (softshell), as a protective jacket (hardshell) and as underwear (base layer), because it can be worn next to the skin. What's more, Polarlite® is hard-wearing and easy to maintain.
