Mountaineering rope -
The Gully 7.3mm Golden Dry is a double rope from the brand Beal, designed for expert climbers on ice, alpine, or rock routes.
It is the lightest double rope on the market, weighing only 36 g per metre, and can also be used as a twin rope. It is perfect for ice climbing, mountaineering, or the most demanding adventure terrains thanks to its ultra-lightweight and particularly low impact force. However, it is a very thin rope that requires the use of suitable devices intended for experts familiar with such thinness.
With technologies like GOLDEN DRY and DRY COVER, it absorbs less than 3% water, preventing swelling while remaining supple. These technologies also provide the rope with high resistance to freezing, water, and abrasion.

- Lightweight and smooth
- The rope swells little and remains supple for longer
- Has all the advantages of Unicore technology
- Expert climbers on ice, alpine or rock routes
- Impact force: on a single strand with 55kg: 5.2kN / twin with 80kg on 2 strands: 7.9kN
- Number of falls: on a single strand with 55kg: 6 / twin with 80kg on 2 strands: 12
- Elongation at first fall: single strand rope: 35% / twin: 34%
- Sheath percentage: 45%
- Weight per metre: 36g
| UNICORE | Process that consists of bonding the core and sheath of the rope without altering its suppleness. Thus, if the sheath is cut or torn, the core and sheath remain bonded together. |
| GOLDEN DRY | Each strand of the rope is treated with a hydrophobic chemical compound polymerised at high temperature before the rope is manufactured. Advantages: - The rope absorbs less than 3% water, swells little - Better abrasion resistance - Improves the smoothness of the rope through carabiners and belay devices |
