The Giga Jul is a belay device designed by Edelrid.
This product can be used with ropes with a diameter ranging from 7.1 to 10 mm. This belay devide is made of aluminum and has a stainless steel construction in the areas most exposed to abrasion. The tube mode allows the recall and belay of seconds in an easy and efficient way. The assisted braking tuber increases rope friction when a second falls. There is an eyelet on the Giga Jul to switch from assisted braking to standard braking, that can be easily unlocked using a carabiner.
