Description

Ideal for harvesting morels, porcini mushrooms and boletus mushrooms of all kinds, the Couteau Tradition Champignon T8 d'Opinel will be with you every time they show their hat.

The Shaftis made from hard, resistant beechwoodfrom France, varnished to protect it from damp and dirt. The natural Silk brush is ideal for dusting and removing soil easily. The blade is curved for easier cutting. It's made from modified 12C27 East stainless steel from Sandvik, renowned for its sharpness and ease of maintenance. Its toothed back makes it easy to scrape and clean the fungus. This model is equipped with the Double Security System Virobloc, which locks the blade in the open or closed position.

Stainless steel Sandvik	The modified 12C27 stainless steel from Sandvik developed for Opinel is renowned for its sharpness and easy maintenance. Stainless steel capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, giving the blade sharpness and durability.
Security ring Virobloc	Invented in 1955 by Marcel Opinel, the security ring Virobloc is fitted to all lockable knives from N°06 upwards. Cut from stainless steel, Virobloc is made up of two parts: a fixed part and a sliding part. The System locks the blade in the open position (for safe use) or the closed position (for safe transport).
