It is composed of a three-stage locking system for greater safety because it makes it almost impossible to open the gate unintentionally. Its design and shape make it particularly easy to use at the end of a lanyard to be clipped to a belay.
When used with a belay device, this asymmetrical carabiner will ensure that the device is always well guided towards the end of the carabiner.
