The
This beacon can communicate over two different types of network (radio and GSM), and with other KIP devices within a range of up to 600 metres , viewed from a single point. Simple yet robust, it can withstand not only water jets (IP65 standard) but also temperatures ranging from -20 °C to +60 °C. To take exploration to the next level, a waterproof cover is available as an optional extra, allowing the device to remain submerged at depths of up to 2 metres for one hour.

A KIP subscription gives you access to:
- In standby mode and sharing your location with your loved ones
- Sending distress alerts to your loved ones
- Organising group outings
Without a subscription, the Application's features will be limited, but your KIP beacon will continue to transmit and can therefore be picked up by the emergency services.
