Aequilibrium Speed GTX Yellow/Black

The Aequilibrium Speed GTX Yellow/Black is a men's mountaineering boot from the brand La Sportiva. The Aequilibrium range responds to a new style of mountaineering with technical yet lightweight products for faster progression.

This boot is the perfect balance between performance and lightness. It features a water-repellent external gaiter made of durable stretch fabric with an internal gusset. Beneath this gaiter, a lining with the GORE-TEX® membrane offers breathability and waterproofing. The integrated pad on the gaiter protects the ankle, and the ergonomic shape of the boot’s construction hugs the foot well to adjust internal volumes and provide greater precision. The lining includes a recycled Quick-Lace system, allowing precise and convenient adjustment.

The sole features a protective rand with a transparent PU anti-perforation film for added lightness, and TPU inserts at the rear endpiece compatible with semi-automatic crampons. To facilitate foot rollover, the sole unit first includes a rocker at the front and also a special Double Heel™ construction at the heel. This technology separates the heel into two parts to optimise walking comfort and improve braking capabilities on descents. Finally, the whole is completed by a Vibram® grip and an Impact Brake System shock absorption system.
