Smart 2.0 phantom phantom
The Smart 2.0 is a belay system from Mammut.
Almost 10 years after the launch of the Smart insurer, Mammut is back creating clever belay systems with the Smart 2.0. Still as intuitive to use as ever, this second version provides much more efficient braking and better handling. Thanks to its new brake insert, the Smart 2.0 passively locks the rope during the climber's breaks, making the belayer's task easier.
With the Smart 2.0, belaying becomes child's play! And for children and beginners, Mammut offers an add-on to the Smart 2.0 called the Smarter, which makes the system even safer by eliminating any "beginner" mistakes made by the belayer.
Features:
- With its light weight of 80g, the Smart 2.0 is easy to use and has no parts or levers to handle.
- Based on the tube principle, the Smarter 2.0 is suitable for both lead and top-rope climbing.
- In the event of a fall, the Smart 2.0 locks the rope and the new high-performance brake insert interacts with the safety carabiner. The belayer is thus perfectly equipped and more secure.
- For the Smart 2.0, Mammut recommends using the Smart HMS. Diameter of suitable ropes: from 8.7 to 10.5 mm.
