The Oberon has been designed to withstand the coldest nights, so that your mountain adventures are still to be enjoyed in winter, while guaranteeing exceptional comfort. This sleeping bag is intended for trekking enthusiasts, ski tourers and mountaineers who practice all year round.
Extremely warm with a comfort temperature of -10°C (lower limit temperature of -18°C), the Oberon is light and takes little space. Indeed, the Nikwax Hydrophobic Down™ used offers an exceptional fill power of 800 cubic inches designed to be as compact as possible once packed in your bag. Hydrophobic, it rejects moisture and remains highly insulating even in humid conditions. This material also dries faster. This filling is also the result of a responsible breeding that complies with the Responsible Down Standard.
To achieve such level of warmth without necessarily weighing down the sleeping bag, Thermarest has also integrated its ThermaCapture™ technology, a lining that traps radiant heat to keep it inside. The American brand also uses a baffled construction to better insulate the areas most vulnerable to cold, ending in an optimized weight-to-insulation ratio. And because feet are commonly exposed to cold, the Oberon features a Toe-Assis™ foot warmer compartment.
Many extra features turn the Oberon into an extraordinary sleeping bag: streamlined cut, anti-lock zip, hood with drawstrings, external zipped pocket, heat collars, and many more.
With the Oberon, the "it's too cold to sleep outside" pretext is no longer valid.
