Hydrophobic suede leather is used for the upper. This choice gives the shoe a high resistance to the elements. At the front there is also a rubber stone guard

It is at the level of the sole block that the Gecko differentiates itself. It is equipped with the new sole developed by Scarpa's R&D department, the Presa. The Presa soles have an excellent grip in both wet and dry weather. Each Presa sole is adapted to the use of the shoe it equips. They are also very resistant to the challenges of everyday life, from urban environments to steep edges. There are small crampons under the foot as well as a climbing zone at the front of the foot for excellent grip and precision
