


The Wayback 84 is a men's touring ski from K2.
The Wayback range offers excellent downhill performance, great grip and impressive stability in all snow conditions. This range has also been fitted with Snowphobic hydrophobic topsheets. These prevent snow from sticking to the top of your skis, which results in weighing your ski down. Ingenious! The Skin Grommets skin attachment system is very easy to use and ultra-reliable.
Thanks to the Titanal Touring Technology, a construction combining a Paulownia Tour Lite wood core, cherry-picked for its lightweight properties and its lively performance, and two layers of carbon fibre and fibreglass reinforcements. To top it all off, a Titanal plate mainly placed around the centre of the ski, offers exceptional stability without weighing the ski down.
The Wayback with its 84mm waist, is the easiest and most maneuverability ski in the range. Its construction is simplified compared to the other skis in the range, which makes it a little less stable at high speed, but even more playful and agile. With intermediate dimensions and a very limited weight, going up and down on long day trips, or over several days will be easy. As well being easy to use when climbing, the ski is also very able when in downhill mode. It is very easy to handle, and linking beautiful turns in fresh snow will be forte, it will also be perfectly suitable for all those who wish a touring ski that is also at ease on the slopes.

Based on the shape of the already proven Wayback skis, this version in simplified wood core construction without metal will not offer the same level of performance. But at a lower price than a Wayback 88, it is an excellent alternative for less aggressive skiers or those who want to discover ski touring. The very light weight is a guarantee of easy climbing and the comfortable flex makes descents easier, whatever the conditions.
Advantages: weight, durability, price.
Disadvantages:Perfect performance, for that you'll have to turn to a Wayback 80 or 88
