The Wayback 106 is a men's free ski touring ski from K2.
The Wayback range offers excellent downhill performance, great grip and impressive stability in all snow conditions. This range has also been fitted with Snowphobichydrophobic topsheets. These prevent snow from sticking to the top of your skis, which results in weighing your ski down. Ingenious! The Skin Grommets skin attachment system is very easy to use and ultra-reliable.
Thanks to the Titanal Touring Technology, a construction combining a Paulownia Tour Lite wood core, cherry-picked for its lightweight properties and its lively performance, and two layers of carbon fibre and fibreglass reinforcements. To top it all off, a Titanal plate mainly placed around the centre of the ski, offers exceptional stability without weighing the ski down.
The Wayback with its 106mm waist, is the widest in the range. With a weight of 1.5 kg per ski, it is lighter than the older version of its little brother, the Wayback 96, which is quite an impressive feat. With its wide sidecuts, you'll literally fly over the fresh snow with a massive smile on your face at such a speed that even jackdaws won't be able to keep up. It will not flinch on the days when the snow gods have decided not to turn on the powder machine, and it will traverse the complicated snow without a hitch, even at high speed.
Simply put, this Wayback 106 is a free touring ski for skiers from advanced to expert level, it allows you to forget that you have touring skis on your feet, and fly downhill. However, thanks to its new construction, you won't have had any trouble facing the long climb before and you won't have used up all your energy.

The new Wayback range was a great success in our tests, especially the 106 version. This ski offers almost unique downhill performance. The ski literally floats in cool, crisp, hard snow without batting an eyelid. The tip is particularly stable, and the waist offers a lot of serenity and power, without the ski becoming too demanding. Its weight is really limited for such a wide ski and allows you to gain a lot of altitude without breaking your legs.
Advantages: Lightness for its dimensions, downhill performance, stability, power!
Disadvantages : Nothing, really!
