Description

The Supernova Carbon 2027 is a unisex ski touring model from the brand Majesty.

The widest ski in the range, it’s made for wild terrain with fields of powder waiting for you.

With a wide profile and a more generous rocker, it adapts very well to diverse conditions, whether in deep snow or steep couloirs. However, its 1300 g weight at 161 cm won’t hold you back, and the ascent is quite manageable considering the ski’s width.

In terms of construction, it features a paulownia core reinforced by a layer of triaxial fiberglass and a layer of carbon fibres. Its rather stiff flex combined with the directional shape and flat endpiece/hinge mount provides stability at high speeds and excellent performance when skiing more challenging, variable snow.

The Supernova Carbon is the ideal ski if you’re chasing powder without wanting to compromise on the descent, although a lightweight binding will allow you to chain ascents without any trouble.
It’s a powerful and very responsive ski that’s just waiting to be pushed to its limits.

CORE Paulownia wood for lightness and responsiveness.
CARBON/KEVLAR

Aramid (Kevlar) is a synthetic polymer woven into fabric. Used in ski construction, it provides strength and acts as a shock absorber. Combined with carbon, which ensures rigidity and torsion resistance, this type of laminate offers top-level stability, performance, and weight reduction.

CUT-OFF-TAIL Reduced endpiece length and rearward skier position for faster and more versatile skis.
FAST BASE Bases are made from P-Tex (polyethylene plastic). Most base materials are followed by a number. This number refers to the molecular weight of the polyethylene. The higher the number, the higher the molecular weight of the P-Tex, indicating a better and more durable base. Majesty uses a high-quality IS 7200 base.
TEXTOLITE PLATE

A reinforcing material sheet (fibreglass fabric impregnated with epoxy) layered above the core to support the central part of the ski.

FRONT ROCKER

The rocker is the curve of the front or rear part of the ski when viewed from the side. In other words, the rocker refers to the arched section of the ski from the contact point with the surface to the tip or tail end. Depending on the length and shape of the rocker, it can be called an automatic rocker, flat camber rocker, or elliptical rocker. The rocker facilitates spins in powder and provides a feeling of freedom and forgiveness. It improves floatation and allows effortless all-terrain riding.

MOUNTING SKINS The ski endpieces are equipped with specially designed holes to allow precise skin placement and reduce the possibility of the rear clip sliding during ascent.
CAMBER Camber describes the curve of a ski when viewed from the side. Skis with camber have a mid-section that arches slightly over the snow. Depending on the length and height of the camber, it can be distinguished as traditional camber or flat camber (zero camber). Camber provides elasticity, flexibility, precision, responsiveness, good edge control, and smooth slipping.

Team review
