The Studio Grom FR 2027 is an all-mountain and freeride ski from the brand Faction, designed for young freeriders who enjoy skiing with imagination and ambition across a wide variety of terrain.
The range Studio is specially designed for freestyle riding in the park and in powder. The result is a poplar core which, combined with carbon fibres, offers not only lightness but also excellent vibration-damping properties. The range also Studio features heavy rockers , complemented by sturdy, fairly rigid tips and tails, as well as a fairly high flex. You’ll end up with a ski that guarantees real precision and perfect handling.
The Studio Grom FR is inspired by the best skis on the market to offer you the best possible performance on your outings. Designed in the same way as the models in the Studio adult range, it offers premium quality in a wide yet lightweight shape, specially tailored for young people. The Studio Grom FR features identical tip and tail rocker profiles, as well as a standard camber.
The Studio Grom FR is clearly aimed at experienced young freeriders at the confirmed level who are ready to ski the whole mountain.

With this model Faction, there are three binding options, from the most forward to the most rearward: Newschool / Progressive / Classic. By default, the assemblies will be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, namely Progressive on Dancer, Agent, Prodigy and La Machine ; Newschool on Studio.
| POPLAR WOOD | Poplar is a light-coloured, softwood that is both lightweight and resistant; it offers good flex and pop, as well as excellent vibration-damping properties. When used on its own, this wood provides pop, makes it easy to perform butters and offers excellent stability on reception – three essential qualities for a park ski – as well as the torsional stability needed for good edge adhesion on the slopes. |
| XL SQUARES 2.2 MM | The 2.2 mm edges are thicker than the regular 1.8 mm edges, which are already very resistant. The addition of steel ensures that skiers have a ski that will have greater durability and will withstand the rigours of certain types of skiing for longer. |
| CARBON FIBRE | Between 8 and 12 carbon strips are laid in a unidirectional pattern on either side of the core to provide even greater stability without adding weight. Each carbon strip is woven with fibreglass to provide maximum strength and rigidity in all directions. |
| SIDECUTS WITH AN ELLIPTICAL RADIUS | Sidecuts for skis with elliptical radii consist of a longer radius under the foot and shorter radii at the front and rear of the ski. The long spoke under the foot allows for quicker and easier pivoting, whilst the shorter spokes enable smooth cornering. These sidecuts are ideally suited to a wide variety of lengths and curve angles. |
| ULTRA-STRONG EDGE-GLAZED SANDWICH CONSTRUCTION | This construction features reinforcements along the edges of the sidewall, between the edge and the topsheet. The edges thus provide the best possible stability and grip when the ski is turning, whilst protecting the wooden core, the edges and the topsheet from potential impacts and external damage. |
| MICRO-CAP ANTI-SHINE | The micro cap is a hybrid design that combines a premium edge-bonded sandwich construction with a lightweight, durable cap construction. Thanks to the sandwich micro-capconstruction, the board offers exceptional edge grip and torsional stability, whilst the topsheet covers the edge in a partial manner, thereby protecting the fragile edge that might otherwise chip on impact. |
| BOAT FLEX | The wide rocker is complemented by sturdier, more rigid tips and tails, helping to stabilise the skis and propel them through variable snow conditions. Furthermore, rigid tips absorb more vibrations when skiers land after taking off. |
