Description

The new Sight 2024 is an all-mountain board for men who are beginner to intermediate snowboarders from Salomon.

The Sight is a very versatile board that can keep up with you everywhere you go. The Cross Profile camber with a large camber between the feet and two rockers at the ends takes jumps and big landings, as well as thick powder in its stride. This board's camber also gives great lift and manoeuvrability in deep powder.

First of all, its tapered directional shape provides enormous lift and easy turn initiation. The Sight is therefore the ideal board for trying out your first kicks with confidence and control. It has a Popster core and Aspen Strong core, which is ultra-strong and durable, so your board can withstand any impact. So you can go and pull off your tricks in total peace of mind, at least as far as your board is concerned... You'll be able to completely tame the mountain with a complete range of assets: the spring of the core gives height to your ollies, the core is thicker under the bindings and thinner at the ends and under the foot for a max of pop, and the rockers at the ends facilitate pivoting and floating in powder snow.

Thanks to its medium flex, the Sight is a playful board, which provides flex and shock absorption by dampening vibrations and impact during landings. When you want to let loose on jumps, the Royal Cork Rails add extra (and eco-friendly) cushioning, which is very useful when landing on difficult terrain.

Camber :
- Cross Profile: Camber between the feet for better control, flex and landing stability. Forme Rocker at the nose & tail for effortless forward and switch flotation.

Cushfit Liner:
- Tapered Directional: The tail width is slightly tapered (2-20mm). This loosens up turn initiation and improves flotation in deeper snow without sacrificing grip on hard snow.

- Quadratic: This sidecut has a blend of elliptic curves for easy turn initiation, effortless direction changes and fluid edge to edge transitions.

- Popster: The strategic machining of the core gives it different thicknesses, providing a more natural flex underfoot and improving energy transfer to the nose and tail for a more dynamic spring.

- All-Mountain EB: Ready to take on all your All-Mountain adventures right from the get go. With a 1° bevel at the ends and a 2° bevel between the feet for better hold in turns, without any edge catches.

- Extruded EG: Harder than EXT, the EXT EG from Salomon makes the sintered base easy to handle and benefits from the outstanding gliding properties of Electra.

Team review

La Sight est une très bonne planche pour les riders intermédiaires voir débutants qui souhaitent progresser rapidement. Elle n'est pas trop exigeante, plutôt facile à rider et ne possède que des points positifs.

Son flex intermédiaire permet d'avoir une board réactive et précise, sans se tuer les cuisses dès les premières descentes. Elle se comporte très bien sur la piste, en hors-piste où elle déjauge efficacement et même en park ou le prise de vitesse et les réceptions sont faciles.
