The main difference between strapped and Step On® bindings is that it is the boot that dictates which binding/boot pack to get, and no longer the binding. The (6/10) medium flex and its heel support with the Lock-Up Cuff system means this boot offers a perfect overall foot hold so you can truly go for it in your carving turns on the piste and at the snowpark. More flexible than the Photon Step On®, the Ruler Step On® is designed for riders with a more relaxed style.
With the Step On® system, you can put on your bindings standing up by placing the lugs in the notches on the sides of the foot and on the back of the spoiler. No need to sit in the cold, wet snow to put on your bindings - and no one will complain about having to wait for you at the ski lifts!
The major advantage of this new system is the responsiveness of the boot-to-board power transfer. Because of the connection points, particularly at the spoiler, the boots are literally stuck down from the spoiler to the baseplate so shifts from edge to edge have never been so fast.
