The Recon 120 MV are men's alpine ski boots by K2.
The Recon range:
The revolution has arrived with this new Recon range, which features a design that is considerably more lightweight, making these alpline ski boots more agile. With a weight of 1.65 kg, these alpine ski boots are the lightest model ever produced. To achieve this, K2 has developed a new type of shell, the Powerlite Shell, which is based on the principle of incorporating reinforcements into the sensitive, strategic areas of the boot, while paring back the less essential parts. This seems to be the basic design premise, but it's also a task involving craftsmanship that K2 has achieved with the use of 4 different densities of TPU. The overall effect offers a perfect balance between agility, power and comfort.
The Recon range is designed for high-performance use as the boots offer power and incredible support. This is obtained thanks to the brand's famous shell, but equally the high-density foam in the liners.
In addition to the weight, we also find numerous other innovations included in the boots in the range. The Fastfit Instep cushions the top part of the boot inside to offer an easy step-in. Struggling to get into your boots on a cold February morning will be a thing of the past! Meanwhile, the Energy Interlock technology eliminates the usual need for rivets, giving the Recon a progressive and reactive flex.
And because one piece of good news shouldn't eclipse another, the Powerlite shells and PrecisionFit/LuxFit liners, which feature in all boots in the range, are fully thermosettable, for a totally personalised fit. A custom fit to cocoon your precious feet! The liners are made from high-quality Ultralon foam and have asymmetrical tongues for a more ergonomic fit.
Recon 120 MV :
The Recon 120 version features the high-end PrecisionFit Pro inner boot, with a with a preformed ankle for an ultra-comfortable fit from the first slip-on. With a 120 flex, it is a little more flexible than the very stiff 130, but remains firm and guarantees a lot of power and drive when you increase the pressure. The Powerstrap 45mm PowerCinch further increases support and ensures a quick recovery. It is suitable for experienced to expert skiers.
The MV stands for "Medium Volume" and has a last of 100 mm, which offers you optimum precision without ever sacrificing on comfort. The perfect balance between reactivity and a comfortable fit.
