Photon Step On Wide Black
The Photon Step On® Wide from Burtonrepresents the men's new generation of all-mountain snowboard boots. Inspired by the old step-in bindings, Burton is once again making history in the snowboarding world with this completed new generation of Step-On® boots and bindings.
As the name suggests the Photon Step On® Wide is a variation of the Photon Boa®, the all-mountain freeride boots with top-of-the-range specs and performance everybody wants. Comfort, stiffness, support, responsivenesss...: here are sound basics which make the reliable Photon Step On® Wide offered by Burton.
The main difference between strapped and Step On® bindings is that it is the boot which determines which binding/boot pack to get, and no longer the binding.
The Photon Step On® Wide has a stiff flex and extra tongue at the instep with the Boa® tightening system. It provides you with stiffness and responsiveness similar to - or even better than - Genesis EST® combined with Photon Boa®.
With the Step On® system, you can put your bindings on while standing by simply stepping into the connection points on the sides of the feet and at the rear, on the spoiler. No need to sit in the cold, wet, snow to put on your shoes - and no one will complain about having to wait for you at the ski lifts!
The major advantage of this new system is the responsiveness of the power transfer from boots to board. Because of the connection points, particularly the spoiler, the boots are literally stuck down from the spoiler to the baseplate so shifts from edge to edge have never been so fast.
The Photon Boa® Wide is a version of the Photon Boa® with larger internal volume.

Lacing:

Flex and Responsiveness
- The Step On® back brace features a connection point on the heel for a strap-free connection that offers unparalleled comfort and performance.
- The PowerUp Firm Flex 1:1 tongue creates ideal fit between the boots and tongue, eliminating the need to readjust it while riding.
Cushioning:
- The Sleeping Bag isothermal technology underfoot reflects heat back to the foot, improving warmth and comfort in cold conditions.
-ReBounce cushioning features polyurethane foam inside the shell of the boot, for cushioning that is closer to the foot and additional impact protection, which improves performance and function in a variety of riding conditions
Liner:
- The Focus cuff increases heel support by hugging the ankle, for slightly higher and more responsive riding.
- The Imprint 3 thermoforming liners feature a hook-and-loop fastening system, with an inner lace lock, for optimal fit and lightweight reinforcement panels for improved responsiveness.
- The Sleeping Bag isothermal technology underfoot reflects heat back to the foot, improving warmth and comfort in cold conditions.
- The Snugger strap allows the rider to adjust heel support and front flex stiffness.
Comfort :
