Description

This winter, as in previous years, Jones is reissuing its famous Twin Sister snowboard. It's for intermediate to advanced riders who want to go for it whenever the opportunity arises.

The Twin Sister 2025 is a very versatile all-mountain board, equally at home in the park or on the piste for a little carving session.

Its flex of 7/10 is rather stiff and playful and offers a very good pop and excellent energy restitution when tensioned. This is due to the double density Control Core with poplar inserts, and a layer of Biax Fiberglass that stiffens the board and gives it a playful character.

The Directional Twin shape and the 3D Contour Base technology of the Twin Sister make it well suited for powder but also allows for switch landings.

While the CamRock camber gives it great freestyle behaviour, the Traction Tech 3.0 edges allow it to carve on the track like it's on rails.
It features the Freeride/Freestyle Pack which allows you to configure the board for more freeride or freestyle riding depending on your mood and the snow conditions.

The Twin Sister is a board designed for female riders who want an ultra-versatile boardthat performs well in all areas and has a very playful character. You will be able to do some tricks on the park's kickers as well as on the snow-filled pillows!

Please note: In an effort to reduce waste, Jones bases are made in two different colours, that are delivered randomly.

Camber:

- Camrock : Classic camber combined with rocker, for greater lift and grip in all snow conditions. Long nose and tip rockers for a huge increase in playfulness and handling. The Camrock considerably improves freestyle performance and powder lift.

Shape:

- Twin Directionel : Symmetrical shape for ultra-nimble handling. Allows for easy switch riding. The nose and tail are identical, with the inserts set back on the back of the board. Great manoeuvrability in powder and hard snow.
- Blunt Nose: the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
- Traction Tech 3,0: The corrugated edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology offsets the reduced length of the edge/snow contact points due to rocker.
- 3D Contour Base 2.0 : Convex shape of the sole. The edges are raised by 7mm in comparison to the centre of the board.
- Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Technologies:

Forever Flex	A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.
Control Core	Triple-density bamboo core made of bamboo strips along the edges for better response and more powerful turns.
Biax Fiberglass	Fibreglass layer applied in two directions for a precise board that responds to any terrain or snow conditions.
Sintered 8000 base	Sole made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.
Freeride/Freestyle Pack	Allows you to center or move back the position of the bindings on the board according to the conditions.
Flip-Flop Base	Base manufacturing process that reduces waste. Two base colours available, delivered randomly.
Eco-Plastic Topsheet	Topsheet made from castor oil seeds. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
Recycled ABS	- The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
Wend Natural Wax	All Wend boards are waxed with Wend natural wax and are ready to use as soon as they leave the factory.
Bio Resin	All boards Jones products are now built using renewable, bio-based epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy.

Team review

Malgré son flex de 7/10, la Twin Sister 2025 est assez souple en torsion ce qui la rend plus agréable sur les réceptions parfois un peu trop appuyées.

La Twin Sister est dotée d'un cambre classique sous les pieds qui permet de garder le contrôle en permanence et de pouvoir utiliser le pop puissant en temps voulu. Bien centrée sur le stance, la planche est aussi stable en l'air que sur neige. Son shape twin directionnel en fait une planche très simple à manier et qui tourne en claquement de de doigts.

La Twin Sister est une excellente planche à tout faire, surtout à prendre tous les petits kicks qui se présentent.
