Description

The Hovercraft Splitboard 2.0 2026 from Jones is a splitboard for men with a confirmed level, ideal for backcountry rides.

True to the Hovercraft Split 2.0 original model, it has the famous short and efficient shape which offers as much flotation as a longer board. However, its shorter size gives it a precious advantage when going down a narrow path or between trees: it is very manoeuvrable and can easily squeeze through the fir trees. The Hovercraft Split 2.0 remains a great board, designed for freeriding and offering a huge lift in the powder.

When it comes to coating the skins with the System Quick Tension Tail Clip system and getting into the climbing phase, the serrated High Traction Tech edgesBelayer provide Adhesion/Grip on the Interior edge despite their reduced size. And once again, the shortened board size is favourable for kick turns.

Once you've reached the top, clip on your bindings and off you go to take on the powder and everything else in your path. For added strength, the Hovercraft Split 2.0 is reinforced with stainless steel inserts on the nose and tail. What's more, the topsheet is made from varnished wood composite to Belayer a higher level of vibration and shock absorption.
The front rocker allows you to take-off and reduces the chances of planting the nose of the board during receptions or changes in snow conditions to avoid being propelled by the front.

This year, theHovercraft Split 2.0 East has decided to go green, as no ink is used on its topsheet, and all the logos are laser-engraved directly into the wood.

The Hovercraft 2.0 Split is an accessible splitboard that offers excellent performance and fun on the way up and down.

The board is delivered as it is, with the Karakoram Ultra Clips 1.0 included.

SHAPE - DIRECTIONAL	The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts are set back on the back of the board. These features provide more lift in powder.
PROFILE - DIR. CAMBER / ROCKER	Cambre dominant improved with rocker on nose and little or no rocker on tail. The rocker of nose improves floatation and handling in deep snow, while the cambre of the front binding at tail provides excellent edge grip, precise response and confidence-inspiring stability.
3D CONTOUR BASE - HIGH 3D CONTOUR BASE	Base 3D Contour centred on freeride with a 7 mm spatula bevel in the nose and 0 to 7 mm spatula bevel in the tail. The bevel of the tip starts just before the contact point.
TRACTION TECH - HIGH TRACTION TECH	Like a serrated knife slicing through the snow, the Traction Tech improves your Grip on the edges by adding multiple points of contact along the length of your board.

BLUNT NOSE	"The way a board glides through Powder snow, crust, spring snow or any snow more than an inch thick, is dictated by its point of contact before and just after. Next time you're in soft snow, observe how much snow passes over the corner of your nose near the point of contact. Snow escaping from behind the tip means you're ploughing, which obviously slows you down. By adding a blunt nose, you get the floatation benefits of a much longer nose without the snowploughing effect of the rounded tip and its extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones
BOLTLESS BRIDGE	The Boltless Bridge eliminates the binding material of the split clips from the base of the board by reprofiling the wood core at the clip level. The Wooden core under the clips is thicker, offering greater torsional rigidity and a more Powerful connection at the clips of split.
INNER EDGE TRACTION TECH	Inner edge Traction Tech improves Edge Grip on splitboard ascent. Three sidecut "bumps" on either side of your bindings keep you locked in place on icy pistes, whichever way you traverse.
PROGRESSIVE SIDECUT	At the ends of the sidecut, the radius is gradually increased as the edge reaches the contact point. The progressive increase in the radius of the sidecut towards the point of contact makes for smoother turn initiation and exit, as the edge enters and exits the snow with a less abrupt transition.
