The Jones Frontier Splitboard 2025 is a splitboard for men, for advanced riders or those aspiring to be.

As the American brand's most accessible design, the Frontier Split is a good choice for riders who want to invest in their own high-quality equipment. Authentic All-mountain/Backcountry board, the Frontier Split is packed with technology and innovation, without overdoing it: the pure spirit of Jones.

Ready to take on any situation, the Frontier Split has a (Blunt Nose) that is ‌wide enough‌ to easily take off in the powder on the days when we get fresh snowfall! And if the powder isn't right there, the Frontier Split will help you go and find it. Its Directionnal Rocker profile will either allow you to stay on the surface of the powder even more easily, or to use its pop to have fun on the small natural kicks.

The Frontier Split's 6/10 flex makes it a tolerant board suited to intermediate riders who've mastered the basics, but want to improve in leaps and bounds! With its playful and versatile character, the Frontier Split is ready to hit the peaks and guide you through stunning off-piste spots.

The Inside & Outside Traction Tech 2.0 corrugated edges ensure excellent grip on ice or when snow conditions begin to get choppy! The shape Directional and the set back improve the board's manoeuvrability , making it easier to link turns.

Camber:

- Directional Rocker : Classic camber combined with rocker, for greater lift and grip in all snow conditions. The longer tip rocker improves float, while the camber ensures edge hold and response. The shorter rocker on the tail offers the power and stability of a traditional board but reduces hang-ups at the start of turns and landing switch.

Shape:

- Directional : The nose is longer and wider than the tail and the inserts have been set back on the back of the board. These features provide more lift in powder.
- Bolt-less Bridge: reduces the components of the link box and therefore reducing weight. In addition, the skis are more closely bonded, improving torsional rigidity.
- Blunt Nose: the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
- Inside & Outside Traction Tech 2.0: Strategically placed corrugated edges to counteract the negative effect of the rocker and increase edge grip on the snow.
- Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Forever Flex	A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.
Classic Core	Premium poplar wood core ensures a good pop and a constant and durable flex.
Biax Fiberglass	Fibreglass layer applied in two directions for a precise board that responds to any terrain or snow conditions.
Stainless Steel Reinforcement	- Stainless steel plate reinforcements in the nose and tail of the board to increase its longevity.
Sintered 8000 base	Sole made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.
Karakoram Ultra Clip	Jones splitboards have Karakoram clips as well as hooks on the nose and tail. These tension-adjustable K-clips improve the board's torsional rigidity.
Textured Eco-Plastic Topsheet	Topsheet made from castor oil seeds. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
Recycled ABS	- The ABS plastics in Jones boards are made from recycled plastic.
Wend Natural Wax	All Wend boards are waxed with Wend natural wax and are ready to use as soon as they leave the factory.
Bio Resin	All boards Jones products are now built using renewable, bio-based epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy.

Team review

Jones assure avec son modèle Frontier 2025 une excellente opportunité aux snowboarders de se lancer dans la freerando. Le flex médium est agréable et permet de faire face à des situations diverses en freeride.

Son cambre classique et ses carres ondulées permettent de prendre plaisir à tailler de belles courbes partout dans le backcountry. Les carres ondulées intérieures sont un avantage de taille lors des traversées de pentes pour conserver plus d'accroche sur le ski aval.
Bien polyvalente donc, la Frontier est un bon choix de planche pour débuter la randonnée splitboard et pour passer les meilleures journées sur vos spots préférés ainsi que pour en découvrir de nouveaux.
