The Mindbender Team JR are men's freeride/freetouring boots from K2.
The Mindbender range has been designed targeting several major points: lightness, liveliness and fit customisation to meet the demands of freeriders, who are more and more fond of wide open spaces and therefore of hiking up to a summit with skis on their backs.
To achieve this, K2 has developed a new type of Powerlite Shell, based on the principle of reinforcement in sensitive and strategic areas while refining less essential spaces. This seems to be the basic design premise, but it's also a task requiring craftsmanship that the American brand has achieved with the use of 4 different densities of TPU. All this offers a perfect balance between agility, power and lightness, which allows for easy climbs and all the support you expect from a freeride boot on a descent.
Mindbender obviously have low-tech inserts for touring bindings, although they are perfectly suited for alpine bindings. They also have a 50° travel giving you an extremely natural walk, whether you're on flat terrain or in a steep area. The GripWalk soles are also perfectly adapted since their curved "rocker" shape allows for easy walking, and the grip is adapted to technical terrain.
This junior version is the perfect boot for young riders looking for backcountry adventures. With a flex of 100, this high-performance ski boot built like its elders will meet all your requirements. It has a 50° travel offering an ideal walking comfort for approaches in search of virgin slopes.
Simply put, this Mindbender 130 is aimed at young freeriders and free ski tourers who want a first high-performance boot to meet their needs.
