Freetouring skis - Unisex -
The Locator 88 is a freerando ski from the Armada brand designed to perform in the mountains, both uphill and downhill.
Featuring a modern shape optimised for exceptional flotation in fresh snow and a longer radius for high speeds, this model has a rando-focused construction. In fact, its low weight combined with its 88mm skate means it can send beautiful turns downhill while offering good performance uphill. The rear clip area keeps the skins central and secured.
The AR75 sandwich construction makes the ski lighter while not compromising stiffness for good stability. A titanium plate has been added to the underside of the binding to reduce vibration and provide good cushioning. In addition, the Caruba core provides better climbing feel while retaining power for descents on difficult terrain.
The Locator 88 is aimed at experienced skiers looking for lightness on the ascent and good lift and responsiveness on the descent to get into every nook and cranny of snowy slopes.

Construction:
Caruba core : Caruba is the lightest of the woods we use to make our cores. It offers the best climbing sensations, while retaining the power and vibration absorption needed to descend through the most challenging terrain. It makes no concessions in terms of performance, despite its quest for weight savings.
EST All Mountain Rocker : The rocker is combined with tapered rib lines in the tip and tail to provide maximum lift and forgiveness. The camber under the foot ensures good edge hold on groomed snow.
Technologies:
Edges 1.7 Lightweight : Lightweight and resistant, these heat-treated edges have minimal impact on the feel of the snow, the dynamism and the lightness of the skis.
Comp Series sole : This sliced sole is optimised to offer maximum speed, resistance and wax retention.
Chants AR75 : The sidewalls cover 75% of the length of the ski to save weight in the tip and tail while maintaining optimum stiffness and power.
Titanium cushioning plate under fastener : Under the binding, we insert a layer of titanium sandwiched between two layers of rubber: this reduces the vibrations that are transmitted to your shoes and make you tired, and gives you a smoother feel.
Heel clip : Even greater ease in the backcountry thanks to this heel clip zone integrated into the ski to ensure your skin is always held securely and centred.
