The Lightning Explore is a model of MSR snowshoes.
Their first advantage is their lightness: with a weight of between 1.7 kg and 2 kg per pair (depending on the size), they are among the lightest snowshoes on the market, preventing fatigue, and ensuring maximum performance. Thanks to MSR, we are way past the time of wooden snowshoes that weighed the same as a building block.
In terms of grip, the Pivot crampons combined with a 360° Traction frame offer a lot of serenity, and allow access to both easy and technical terrain.
Thanks to its EVA foam pads and medium "flex", the Lightning Explore is a benchmark in terms of walking comfort.
The HyperLink™ binding system ensures reliable, easy and fast assembly. What more could you ask for? Maybe to add Ergo Televators™ to adapt to different degrees of slope. They engage with a simple flick of the pole grip and make your life a whole lot easier every time you go out.
In short, the Lightning Explore is the brand's lightest model, and certainly one of the most versatile. Extremely comfortable and practical, it does not lack in efficiency thanks to its impressive grip and a very stable deck.
