The main difference between strap binding systems and the Grom Step On® is that it is the boot alone that determines the programme of the binding/boot pack, no longer the binding. As all-mountain freeride boots, the Grom Step On® ensure, thanks to their stiff flex, instant responsiveness ideal for more committed lines.

With the Step On® system, you can step into your bindings while standing simply by slotting the cleats into the notches located on the sides of the foot and behind on the spoiler. No more sitting in wet, cold snow to put your boots on, and no one will be able to complain about always waiting for you at the chairlift exit!

The major advantage of this new system is the responsiveness brought to the power transmission from the boot to the board. Thanks to the cleats, especially the one on the spoiler, the boot is literally glued to the spoiler and the baseplate, making edge-to-edge transitions faster than ever.
