Free 22 Removable Airbag 3.0 Safari

New for the 2022/2023 season at Mammut, the Free 22 Removable Airbag 3.0 is the latest addition to the Airbag family.

Inspired by trail-running waistcoats, the Free 22 is designed to be worn as close to the body as possible for minimum oscillation and maximum stability during exercise. The waist belt, optimised shoulder straps and new 3D pre-shaped back are also there to provide high comfort and a perfect fit.

Designed to accompany you safely on your winter outings in the mountains, the Free 22 and its 22L volume provides all the storage space you need for your equipment. You will find a large main compartment, a ski and snowboard holder, a pocket for avalanche safety equipment and a helmet and pole holder.

Designed to keep you at the surface in the event of an avalanche, the Airbag system is an essential safety feature when in high-risk environments. The Removable Airbag System 3.0 on the Free 22 is activated in 3 seconds with an adjustable trigger handle and its bright orange colour makes it quickly visible, even from a distance.
