



The Float 42 is an airbag backpack from BCA. It has been specially designed for use in backcountry, freeride or for ski patrols and mountain guides.
With a volume of 42 litres, the Float 42 is the largest bag in the range. It is very practical and complete to carry everything you need for a day in the mountains or for an outing over several days! It is large enough to carry your equipment, first aid kit and personal belongings with ease.
The Float 42 notably has a separate safety compartment to store your shovel and probe. There is also a system for carrying skis diagonally, carrying a snowboard vertically, a removable net for carrying a helmet, as well as carrying straps for poles and an ice axe. As a little extra, there is a fleece pocket for your goggles to avoid the risk of scratching them.
The Float 42 is equipped with the new generation Airbag developed by BCA, theFloat 2.0, known for its ease of use. With a 150 litre volume, it keeps you on the surface but also protects your head and neck from trauma in the event of an avalanche. The cartridge and airbag are stored in the same separate compartment to save space in the main compartment.
In terms of comfort, the Float 42 is equipped with padded shoulder straps, an ergonomic belt and a back panel to ensure a perfect fit throughout your day. Compared to the other models in the range, it has the advantage of having an opening at the back, so you can access your equipment even more easily!
Finally, this model is suitable for all hydration systems and is also compatible with the BC Link radio.
