It can absorb one third of its weight in the form of water vapour, and its heat release prevents the sensation of chill. Even when wet, the garment remains warm. Wool fibres are naturally resistant to mechanical wear, soil very little, and are antibacterial, significantly reducing odours as well as the need for washing.
