Description

The Duke PT 16 ID is a downhill/touring hybrid binding from Marker.

This new binding, designed for extreme freeriders, stands out for its low tech and alpine character. You will be able to enjoy the advantages of an insert binding on the way up and the alpine mode on the way down.

The Ride & Hike front stop allows precise safety release with a DIN of up to 16. In the event of a fall, the AFD (Anti Friction Device) system will ensure lateral release while avoiding being affected by snow and ice.

If you wish to switch to walking mode, simply unlock the upper part and fold it forwards. As this toe piece is convertible, it is possible to remove it completely and store it in your rucksack to save 250g on the ascent. This way, you can just keep the insert when climbing up. With the Auto Quad Lock, the toe piece also locks automatically when the boot is in place.

In addition, the multifunctional Lock & Walk brake systematically locks the ski-brake and has a heel lift with a 10° position that can be triggered with a pole. How practical! This binding also features the innovative Inter Pivot 3 heel support with a lightweight magnesium shell and increased rigidity.

Equipped with the Sole.ID adjustable protection plate, the Duke PT 16 ID is fully compatible with the soles of alpine skis, ski touring skis or GripWalk.
