Men's ski touring boots -
The Crux Pro Dark is a men's ski touring boot from the brand Head.
This expert-level boot has been designed to minimise weight on the ascent while skiing with rigidity and precision on the descent.
Very lightweight at only 1400 g in size 27.5, it is also very comfortable uphill and offers a range of motion of 55° to facilitate your progress even on very steep slopes, while being light enough to ensure good energy saving.
Its soft tongue provides a natural foot roll, thus avoiding unnecessary friction points to protect you from the first signs of fatigue.
The shell is made from recycled carbon fibres combined with Pebax® technology, making the Crux Pro light and precise on the foot. The boot’s frame features the renowned Dynamic Frame LYT from Head, which forms the structure of the boot and ensures excellent force transmission and support for maximum responsiveness on the descent.
Its thermoformable liner remains stable and precise even during long outings with significant positive elevation gain, and holds the foot well with a last volume of 99 mm. It also features a Vibram® sole providing excellent grip and traction for walking and approach phases.
Going up is good, but going down is better! That’s why once at the top, you simply switch from walk to ski mode by activating the lever to lock the mechanism and fix the boot forward at 14° +/- 2°.
This inclination combined with a flex of 120 offers a very pleasant balance between precision and comfort for committed skiing on the descent.
In summary, the Crux Pro is the luxurious and versatile combo for skiers seeking lightness on the ascent and commitment on the descent!
