60 days to change your mindThe Charger Pro is a splitboard binding from Union. More high-end than theExplorer, the Charger has a faster ascent/descent system and is therefore aimed at a more expert audience. This Pro version is the highest performing splitboard binding. Tested, reliable and designed with the help of professional splitboarder Forrest Shearer.
Unlike the Explorer, the Charger has no pins, which makes it easy to switch from up to down mode quickly. This system saves you the trouble of handling small parts in the cold and snow. The SP3 baseplate made out of Duraflex CB isrigid and ensure an ideal grip for your foot. The Exoframe 5.0 et TS 4.0 straps reduce compression points in the ankle and toe area, while maintaining optimal support.
The EXP4 spoiler and its new stiffer asymmetric shape offers more support on long traverses and faster edge-to-edge power for the descent. To make the way up easier, the spoiler can be positioned vertically to make lengthening your stride easier. The heel cup is directly integrated into the baseplate and can be more easily positioned to make walking on steeper slopes easier. The forged carbon heelpieces are 45% lighter than our standard extruded aluminium heelpieces, yet just as strong.

Materials:
Bushing : Thermoformed EVA with non-stick gas pedal which prevents snow from sticking and ice from forming on the baseplate.
SP3 Duraflex CB baseplate: This construction provides it with durability and sturdiness, for more precision in ski mode and on rough terrain.
Talon - Forged Carbon: Forged carbon heel pads are 45% lighter than our standard extruded aluminium heel pads, but just as strong. They are covered by Union's lifetime warranty.
Spoiler - EXP4 : This new, stiffer, asymmetric shape offers more support on long traverses and faster edge-to-edge power for the descent.
Ankle straps - Exoframe 5.0 : Very close to the boot for a tight and perfectly distributed support. Progressive Tri-Axial Flex for a perfect fit of the shoe to the binding.
Toe straps - TS 4.0 : Lightweight, simple and durable.
Buckles - Magnesium Ratchets : These magnesium buckles are 4 times more durable and with half the weight of aluminium buckles.
Up/Down Mode - Dino FLAD : Quick transition system between the two modes.
Charger Split Disk : Compatible with Voilé et 2x4. insert systems
