The Black Pearl 88 Blue 2023 are all-mountain women's skis from Blizzard.
We love this model because it performs just as well on fresh snow as it does on groomed slopes. It has the feel of the freeride range but with a narrower sidecut and a flatter tail. These skis sit between the 97 and 82 versions and is surely the most versatile. While super playful on the slopes, it is also particularly efficient on the piste edges,
The Black Pearl 88 is a ski that brings confidence, safety and ease to all terrains. Its centre camber, combined with Trueblend technology and its wood core make this ski incisive while providing confidence and safety. With its lightweight and streamlined construction, you can enjoy your Black Pearl 88 every day without leg pain.
As you can see, the Black Pearl 88 is the perfect ski for experienced to expert skiers who want to progress in all conditions, but still prefer to spend most of their time on-piste.

Turn radius:

Shape and construction:
Core structure:
Mixture of wood: Poplar + Beech
Rocker Camber Rocker:
The traditional camber profile distributes pressure evenly and gradually from the tip to the tail, maximising edge retention throughout the turn.
The result: you can press down on the skis to feel the edges and the power of the ski.
True Blend Flipcore W.S.D (Women Specific Design):
The TRUE BLEND WOOD CORE technology specifically positions three different densities of wood to form a wood core. This mix of different wood densities creates three distinct flex zones: a softer flex zone in the tip and tail areas, which makes it easier to initiate and exit turns, a medium flex zone in front and behind the binding, which helps give confidence and control, and finally, a stiffer flex zone in the centre, under the binding, which ensures perfect grip and stability.
Sidewall Construction:
Integrated partial sidewall to ensure better energy transfer, along with precision and stability from the structure. Distributes pressure evenly along the length of the ski.
The result: torsional rigidity created by the integrated side edges which improves ski performance.
The Black Pearl 88 from Blizzard is a ski that continues to impress with its versatility and feel on the snow. Its design allows it to go off piste even if it will lack a little lift on big powder days. It really is a very pleasant ski on piste, which carves serious lines without being too forced, but which will nevertheless satisfy excellent skiers.
Benefits: versatility, manoeuvrability, skiability
Disadvantages: Deep Powder Bearing Capacity
