The Alpinist 8 is a ski touring binding from Marker .
Remarkable for its lightness, this binding with inserts has a DIN that is adjustable up to 8 with a soft spring in its Alpinist heel. It is therefore aimed at skiers with a smaller build.
Thanks to the Alpinist Climbing Aids system, the binding has two climbing wedges at 5° and 9°, which means that it is possible to change position (e.g. 0° to 9°) without having to rotate the heel. In addition, the toe is equipped with the carbon fibre Pin Technology Toe to provide very good rigidity.
You will also appreciate the Alpinist 8 for its Alpinist Heel system, which offers a 15mm (+/- 7.5mm) adjustment range and its "Fast Shift" mode, which combines neutral and high walking mode. Practical for both ascents and descents!
You will be ready to take on alpine challenges at high altitude!

The "Fast Shift mode" allows you to quickly switch from neutral to the highest walking mode. Active length compensation in the heel provides constant power transmission and slackening performance, even when the ski is flexed.
- Anti Ice Pads : Anti-ice pads on the base of the front stop and the heel pad (if the stop-ski is not installed) to prevent ice formation in critical areas.
- Alpinist Climbing Aids Neutral walking mode and two climbing aids offering a 5° and 9° position. Thanks to the quick-adjustment mode, it is possible to switch quickly from 0° to 9° without having to rotate the heel.
- Active Length Compensation : Located in the heel area, active length compensation allows the heel to move back up to 4 mm when the ski is flexed.
- Carbon Reinforced Pin Toe : Carbon fibre-reinforced material for improved rigidity and exceptional lightness
