The Wayback 98 2024 are touring/freetouring skis for men from K2.

This lightweight ski is a highly versatile choice for skiers who enjoy a variety of activities. The Wayback range offers excellent downhill performance, as well as impressive grip and stability on all types of snow. Equipped with a Snophobic top sheet, which ensures that the snow doesn't stick to it and the ski doesn't get weighed down. The ingenious system for attaching the Skin Grommets skins is easy to use and ultra-reliable.

The Titanal Touring Technology combined with a lightweight Paulownia wood construction offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. What's more, it's reinforced with two layers of carbon and fibreglass to give you confidence on any slope.

The Wayback version with the 98mm waist is now the second widest ski in the range after the 106. Despite its love of downhill skiing, where it will have no trouble getting off the ground in fresh snow or tackling steep couloirs or even carving on hard snow with its alpine character, this ski is certainly not afraid of a steep drop. Perfect for ski touring/free touring, it is designed for advanced to expert skiers and will delight you with its performance worthy of a real freeride ski.

Le plus polyvalent de la gamme Wayback à n'en pas douter. Encore allégé par rapport aux versions précédentes, le Wayback 98 W a aussi gagné en stabilité et dynamisme grâce à sa nouvelle construction intégrant une légère plaque titanal. Le dénivelé s'enchaîne sans trop de soucis et le ski s'exprime encore mieux dès que l'on enclenche le mode descente. Sur piste, il carve comme un ski de piste, avec de bonnes relances grâce à un talon au caractère très alpin. En neiges compliquées, le Wayback 98 W excelle et permet d'éviter de se faire rétamer les chaussettes à la moindre vibration. Avec ses 98mm au patin et une assez large spatule, le ski flotte bien en poudreuse.

Les Plus : Poids, rigidité en torsion offrant stabilité et accroche en toutes neiges, caractère alpin.

Les Moins : RAS dans son programme.
