The TX87 is a men's touring ski from the brand Kästle.
The TX87 is one of the most accessible models in the range, with dimensions, weight and construction that make it possible to enjoy the climb as well as the descent. It is a light, stable and lively ski.
For the construction, Kästle developed a lightweight paulownia core with a semi-cap construction with tri-axial glass fibre reinforcements on both sides of the core and a further layer of carbon fibre. The ski has a double rocker with a front tip equipped with Hollowtech 3.0technology, which makes it lighter in strategic areas by removing unnecessary layers, while providing even better shock absorption. The rendering is incredible and it will be difficult to fault the ski, even in complicated snow. Furthermore, on this model the use of a phosphorescent material on the spatula will allow you to have a better visibility in the dark.
The TX 87 is perfect for hikers who are looking for the best compromise for easy and serene ascents and maximum fun on the way down. A successful bet, the TX87 is a safe bet. Maybe that's why it's often seen on the feet of austrian high mountain guides!

Core structure :
- WOODCORE: Each Kästle ski is made with the finest wood core, manufactured with precision to one tenth of a millimetre. This allows the brand to control the weight, responsiveness and cushioning characteristics of the ski, resulting in a high-quality, durable product. The wood type, or combination of different woods, is individually catered to each model line, based on the ski‘s intended use.
Technologies :
- Hollowtech 3.0: The brand's patented key technology is unique to ski manufacturing. Removing unneeded layers at the front of the ski makes it more stable, edge-grip is more powerful and the overall weight is reduced. The size of each Hollowtech is adapted to individual model lines. Version 3.0 offers an even lighter tip with carbon and less material for an even better effect.
- Use of phosphorescent materials in tip to ensure better visibility in the dark
- Elliptical Radius: The shape of the Elliptical Radius determines how quickly and aggressively the ski turns.
- Progressive Rise: progress Rise technology allows for tip optimisation for better float control off piste.
- Low Camber: A low-profile camber for better turning.
- Hook Free Shovel: Longer tip often associated with progressive lift. The point of contact with the snow is moved towards the centre of the ski, ensuring a more forgiving and manoeuvrable performance.
- Hook Free Tail: Longer heel which shifts the ski-snow contact towards the centre of the ski, resulting in a more forgiving and playful exit from the turn.
