60 days to change your mindThe Transalp 86 Carbon is a men's touring ski from Fischer.
This all-round model is a compromise between lightness on ascents and comfort on the way down. With its Paulownia core, the lightest wood used in ski construction, as well as the presence of carbon, it boasts a weight of 1180g per ski, making it extremely efficient for ascents. On the way down, its 86mm waist will ensure optimal flotation in powder while its Aeroshape construction will provide the necessary torsional stability. In hard, light snow or on icy slopes, this ski will therefore perform very well.
It has a sandwich construction with ABS edges for a very responsive, eye-catching and powerful ski. It has a light rocker under the tip for easier ascents and precise gliding on downhill runs. This will make your ascents less tiring!

Construction:
- Paulownia core: the lightest wood used to make skis. It is perfectly suited to ski touring, due to both the shell and the edges.
- Sandwich Sidewall Construction: A wooden core combined with ABS sidewalls and a classic Sandwich construction for a harmonious flex and excellent rebound.
- Air Tec TI: Depending on its use, the Air Tec system is reinforced with extremely robust Titanal.
Technology:
- Carbon Tech: a special structure composed of carbon fibres that provide excellent torsional properties as well as an even rigidity along the length of the ski.
- Aeroshape: especially light construction for extreme torsional stability.
- Tour Rocker: the 3-4 mm rocker and the specific tip geometry prevent the ski from sinking too far into the snow. To trace on the way up and glide down in optimal conditions
- Sintered base: exceptional waxing properties and a very long lifespan.
Le Transalp 86 Carbon est un ski de randonnée qui se montre très performant, à la montée comme à la descente. Avec son poids très réduit on pourrait s'attendre à un manque de caractère et de stabilité en descente mais ce n'est pas du tout le cas. Stable et assez nerveux, il est idéal pour s'éclater lors de la descente. Un ski surprenant qui ne vous laissera pas indifférent ! Il est conçu pour des skieuses d'un niveau confirmé à expert.
