Ski touring bindings -
The Tecton 12 Carbon from Fritschi is a freetouring.
The Tecton 12 Carbon is the result of the combination of the new Vipec Evo 12 stop (with pins) and the revolutionary heel retention system at the bottom. For increased durability this new version has carbon fibre reinforced plastic.
This binding, like alpine bindings, has a front release with a DIN value set via the heel clamp with a dynamic range of 9 mm. This means that the return force of the spring prevents unintentional release and compensates for the high tensile forces applied to the leg in the event of a forward fall. This ensures a comfortable release.
The Tecton 12 Carbon also features a triple power heel, to transfer forces three-dimensionally. You will can therefore enjoy comfortable and precise handling, even for wide skis. At the rear, where the major forces occur, the binding remains stable and rigid and transfers the forces directly and without loss between the boot and the ski.
Finally, the Tecton 12 Carbon has a Power Rail which is located in the heel cup and acts on the insert to keep the shoe centred and prevent loss of force from lateral movement.
Thus, the Tecton 12 Carbon is a powerful and stable freetouring binding that ensures good force transfers.
