The Talkback 88 is a women's touring ski by K2.
The Talkback Collection: this range has been completely updated. It obviously retains the features that made it successful in previous years, that is to say, its excellent performance during descents, a grip that is worthy of its name and impressive stability on all types of snow. K2 has opted to develop the range with a more modern construction. After several years of reflection and tests conducted by renowned guides and athletes worldwide, the new Talkback models have a considerably reduced weight in comparison to the previous versions. This has been made possible thanks to the new Titanal Touring Technology, a construction combining a Paulownia Tour Lite wood core, cherry-picked for its lightweight properties and its lively performance, and two layers of carbon fibre and fibreglass reinforcements. To top it all off, a Titanal plate, mainly placed around the centre of the ski, offers exceptional stability without weighing the ski down.
This range has also been fitted with Snowphobic hydrophobic topsheets. These prevent snow from sticking to the top of your skis, which results in weighing your ski down. Ingenious! As regards the Skin Grommets skin fastening system, this is very easy to use and ultra-reliable.
Warning: these touring skis are such all-round performers, you'll likely consign all your other skis to the back of the closet!
Talkback 88: the Talkback with an 88 mm waist is the easiest, most manoeuvrable ski in the range. This ski offers both excellent downhill and uphill performance. What can we say? This is what has made this ski a must-have over the years. With intermediate dimensions and a very limited weight, linking up rises and falls in undulating landscape is a piece of cake during one-day excursions or trips lasting several days. Despite this ease when climbing, the ski offers remarkable performance, making it pleasurable to use once the ski mode has been engaged. It is highly manoeuvrable and is in its element when zigzagging between the trees in powder-filled forests. The Talkback 88 is really agile in narrow corridors, and you will get yourself out of perilous situations. The Talkback is also exemplary in terms of grip on hardpack and has stunning carving ability with a tail that is very alpine in nature. A bestseller and we know why!
In short, the Talkback 88 is an all-round touring ski for advanced skiers. Very lightweight, it will accompany you on all your adventures, whatever the rise and fall of the terrain, and gives you the impression of flying, whether at the summit or the snow park.

Ultra efficient uphill thanks to a very weight and an adapted profile, it exceeds our expectations on the descent with a great stability, a grip worthy of an alpine ski on piste and the presence of the heel, useful on hard snow and on narrow pistes.
Titanal and carbon do their job very well and even difficult snows will not make you doubt it.

Disadvantages: We loved the previous version, this one is even better, the only negative point is that you risk giving up all your other activities during the winter
