Description

The Sakana are all-mountain skis, predominantly for freeride, from Line for riders with a good level who like versatility.

As the little brother of the Pescado free-ride skis, the Sakana also possesses a surf-inspired Swallowtail that gives these skis impressive manoeuverability in powder.

More versatile than its big brother, it is not only effective in fresh snow. The 105mm waist provides added versatility and its slightly stiffer flex gives it a better on-piste performance. The long camber allows you to apply a lot of pressure on it for fast turns and long carving edges.

The big front rocker combines Early Rise and Early Taper technologies to give a huge lift in powder.

Designed with the Partly Cloudy core, made very light with the use of Paulownia, the Sakana offers an excellent weight/power ratio and guarantees a high energy return when the ski is put under tension. Thanks to the 5-Cut technology, the Sakana is very manoeuvrable and allows you to make a series of turns with incredible ease on both hard and powder snow.

The Sidewall technology with ultra high density polyethylene edges, absorbs the vibrations of the terrain and ensures more efficient edge transitions. In addition, the Carbon Flax Tape inserts will guarantee instant energy return.

These skis reel you in you with their unique design, making you want to try them out for yourself. The Sakana from Line is an All Mountain model that will delight skiers who want an original, versatile ski that brings originality back into the ski world!

Technologies:

Sidewall:
Ultra-high-density polyethylene walls at the edges absorb vibration for maximum durability, giving a feeling of softness and stability.

Thin Tip:
The core has been lightened and the edges thinned out.

Early Rise:
The rise of the tip and tail starts sooner as the skis' profile moves away from the centre, making turning easier and helping to keep the skis stable. It also means effortless float in softer snow!

Early Taper:
The widest point of the sidecut starts to narrow sooner in the tip and tail, reducing powdering and providing stability.

Directional Flex:
The more flexible tip allows for easy pivoting and float while the more rigid tail provides power, stability and control at high speed.

5-Cut
5 different curve radiuses for a more intuitive and agile pair of skis.

Swallow Tail
As currently only seen on the Pescado and their follow-on model, the Sakana, it allows for a more effective edge length when you need it while reducing tail stiffness. Turn and take off with maximum ease.

Team review
