Rescue Set Diract Voice Light

The Rescue Set Diract Voice is an avalanche safety kit from Ortovox.

It includes the top of the range D.V.A. (avalanche vicim detection device) model Diract Voice as well as the Pro Light shovel and the Alu 240 Light probe.

Diract Voice :

The Diract Voice stands out with its unique voice-assisted navigation system. If you enter search mode, the device tells you what to do in a clear and simple way so you can stay clear-headed and efficient in a potentially very stressful situation.

First of all, there is a clear and ergonomic interface on an extra-large screen. There are large, clear symbols with 360° indications on how to search for victims. The Diract Voice is compact and lightweight. The device weighs only 210g and is 2.3cm thick, so it fits easily into your jacket or trouser pocket. A rubber grip makes it easy to hold and a belt is included to keep the Diract Voice close at hand.

Its is intuitive and simple to use. An on-off button on the back of the A.V.D. is used to switch it on. A front button allows you to mark the victims in search mode but also to switch to a stand-by mode, dedicated to the people managing the call to emergency services during the avalanche search. Finally, the switch between search and transmit mode is clear thanks to a switch that is easy to use, even when wearing gloves.

Finally, to simplify power management, the Diract Voice has a battery specially adapted to cold temperatures and is directly rechargeable from a USB type C cable.

Pro Light :

The Pro Light is a ultra-light aluminium shovel with an ergonomic hybrid handle and grip to make digging easier.

With a blade capacity of 2.1 litres and a rigid construction consisting of a marked central bar and raised edges, it provides powerful shovelling to remove the maximum amount of snow.

Finally, the Pro Light also has gooves at the top of the which makes it easier to press down with your foot. When folded, it measures 42 centimetres.

Alu 240 Light :

The Alu 240 Light is for those looking for a probe that is easy to handle, quick to assemble, light and durable.

The Quick-Lock system allows for quick and easy assembly and the adjusting screw makes it easy to adjust the tension. Its larger tip allows for better penetration into the snow.

It's relatively light weight of just 200 grammes is only possible thanks to its aluminium construction and 11mm diameter. The Alu 240 Light probe has a visual control system with depth markings (including a more pronounced marking at 1m), and a fluorescent orange lower segment to aid organisation when evacuating victims.
