Compatibility:

Mammut Airbag 3.0 backpacks are not compatible with Airbag 1.0 and 2.0 systems.

With a weight of approximately 1.2kg, this new Airbag system developed by Mammut enables the use of lighter bags that are enjoyable to carry not only downhill, but also uphill. Comfort is improved with this new, lighter and more compact system. The thinner straps are almost like the classic straps of a ski bag, meaning that you no longer have to worry about thick straps. The Airbag 3.0 system is detachable which makes the bag more versatile as you can remove the system when you don't need the Airbag. Mammut Airbags were developed for use in the most extreme situations, notably in temperatures ranging from from -30° to 50°.

The new Airbag 3.0's inflation system has been improved, mainly with an air booster system which works alongside the inflation system for faster and more effective inflation, without adding extra bulk.
The handle has also been redesigned to be more intuitive, more compact and more adjustable in length.

Protection Version: the system is notable for its airbag which, when triggered, protects the upper body (head, neck, chest) thanks to its specially designed shape. This is an important feature because about 20% of avalanche deaths are due to physical trauma.
The airbag has a volume of 150L when inflated. It is made of very durable materials (ripstop nylon) and draws on expertise developed in the automotive industry, resulting in a robust, light and compact airbag.


Pro Bag:

Complete ski backpack, light and very comfortable to wear. Its construction, especially its thermoformed foam back and padded waistband, provides good stability when worn. Mammut's Light bag is a lightweight, yet technical bag that is perfect for skiing, snowboarding and ski touring thanks to its construction.
