No subject to promotional offersThe Pentaquark is a snowboard from Amplid. It is designed to cut through the tracks at full speed and carve powerfully.
The Pentaquark is new this season and is part of the Centrifugal Collection range, a range of boards that offer great performance in carving and off-piste. The Centrifugal boards are the most technologically advanced, containing the latest innovations from the brand.
As it is intended to carve and descend the slopes at full speed, it needs to be extremely stable. To achieve this, Amplid has developed their own Antiphase technology: a combination of carbon fibre and non-Newtonian fluid which drastically reduces vibrations and prevents the nose from vibrating.
Its flex of 9, the bi-axial glass fibre layers and the Lite Core core make it a hyper reactive and ultra precise board that switches instantly from one edge to the other and carves as if you were in rails. In addition, carbon inserts in the tail amplify the pop and give a crazy energy to every turn.
For a blast in the powder, the Pentaquark is equipped with a directional shape and All-Terrain Tips.
The Pentaquark is therefore an incisive, almost aggressive and impressively precise board. A real snow scalpel, it will find a place in your quiver and in your heart.

Camber:
Pop Camber: long standard camber under the supports which allows a very long effective edge and an excellent energy restitution when put under tension.
Shape:
Directional: classic shape with the nose slightly longer than the tail for float on unpacked snow. Directional refers to a shape in which the tip is wider than the tail, making it easier to enter and exit turns, allowing for greater stability at high speeds, and improved float.
All-terrain Tips: slightly wider tips that increase lift without impacting the responsiveness of the board.
Core:
Lite Core: ultra light core with the best power to weight ratio of the brand.
Centrifugal Carbon: unidirectional carbon strips placed in the tail, which amplify the pop and energy restitution.
Hexo2: the tips incorporate honeycomb parts for effective weight saving!
Pre-cured Impact Plates : core reinforcement at fastener inserts limiting impacts caused by bindings
Antiphase: Carbon fibre assembly within a non-Newtonian fluid that absorbs vibrations very efficiently.
Topsheet:
Biax Fibreglass: double layer of fibreglass applied in both directions for a reactive and tolerant board.
Sole:
Sintered 7 HD base: ultra high density, very hard and resistant sintered sole. The fastest base from the brand.
Ce qui nous plait chez la Pentaquark c'est qu'elle cache bien son jeu. Un visuel sobre, un shape classique, rien qui ne nous saute au visage... Par contre une fois que vous êtes dessus vous comprenez qu'elle ne craint rien et qu'elle vous demande d'aller toujours plus vite. Vous sentez qu'elle est super stable et que vous pouvez tracer de belles courbes même à Mach2.
Elle est parfaitement équilibrée et ses longues carres permettent d'enchainer les virages carvés comme personne d'autre dans la station.
