The Backland 85 UL is a unisex touring ski from Atomic.
This is the largest model in the Backland UltraLight range and the best performing downhill model. This range offers endurance touring skis that are designed to be light while climbing and stable on the descent. The construction has been optimised and the tip refined for even more manoeuvrability in trampled snow.
To achieve such a low weight, all the skis in the range are built with an ultra-light wood core and a carbon reinforcement that gives the ski stability and strength. For off-piste skiing, there is the famous Horizon Tech spoon-shaped tip that gives the ski exemplary performance in powder and the tip rocker that allows it to be comfortable in all types of snow.
With a larger 85mm waist than its two smaller brothers, the Backland 85 UL will give you even more lift in powder to have fun and let go on the descent. The Cap Sidewall construction guarantees ideal power transmission and excellent grip on all types of terrain and the tip rocker makes riding easy on all types of snow.
The Backland 85 UL is the perfect model if you are looking for downhill performance but also lightness for climbing.

- All Mountain Rocker: 15% tip rocker / 85% classic camber: tip rocker that erases the irregularities of the terrain and makes it easier to enter curves.
