Description

The Outline 2023 are freestyle backcountry skis from Line. They are for riders who are not afraid of the cold and want to perfect their tricks and big jumps on their backcountry rides.

With the shape of their base, that is exactly what these skis were made for. On their Convex Base the tip and tail are raised, allowing the ski to glide over the fresh snow, perfect for taking off and landing in the snow. Now you can ride in all kinds of snow conditions with ease, seek adventure, and enjoy your days out on the mountains to the max!

That's not the only great aspect of these skis. They're packed with technology and innovation that has earned them the title of "No. 1 Powder Freestyle Ski" by Freeskier Magazine in 2019.

Designed with a Partly Cloudy core, made very light thanks to the Paulownia material, the Outline offers an excellent power to weight ratio and guarantees the best possible lift with a high energy return when under tension. The 117mm waist, the directional shape, the camber and the large front rocker give these skis a huge amount of lift while remaining easy to manoeuvre thanks to the 5-Cut design, essential in backcountry freestyle.

The Symmetric Flex shape coupled with the convex base allows the rider to stick the landing in regular mode as well as in switch mode, allowing for a variety of jumps.

So, if you love fresh snow and see the mountains as a playground, making you want to ski down it with the most style and flair, then the Outline are skis the skis for you. Ready for unforgettable rides?

Technologies:

Sidewall:
Ultra-high-density polyethylene walls at the edges absorb vibration for maximum durability, giving a feeling of softness and stability.

Thin Tip:
The core has been lightened and the edges thinned out.

Early Rise:
The rise of the tip and tail starts sooner as the skis' profile moves away from the centre, making turning easier and helping to keep the skis stable. It also means effortless float in softer snow!

Early Taper:
The widest point of the sidecut starts to narrow sooner in the tip and tail, reducing powdering and providing stability.

Symmetric Flex:
Symmetrical flex at the front and back, creating symmetry at your feet so you can adapt to all surfaces regardless of direction.

5-Cut
5 different curve radiuses for a more intuitive and agile pair of skis.

Convex Base:
The convex shape at the tip and tail lifts the side edges and reduces surface contact with snow for easier movement and rotating in heavy conditions.
To quote Eric Pollard: "I spent years in search of a certain feeling, something never experienced before, which would fundamentally change the way the ski slides". The Convex Base is exactly what we were searching for!

Team review
