The Mountain Twin Splitboard 2025 is a men's splitboard from Jonesdesigned for advanced riders.

It's all in the name: Mountain for escape, Twin for the stunning shape and Split because it's your legs that will take you up the mountain! Jones With the Mountain Twin Split Jones offers a shape that is unusual in the world of touring snowboarding.

In fact, with its Directional Twin shape and CamRock camber, the Mountain Twin Split offers serious capabilities for freestyle (backcountry of course). You will be able to ride in Classic or switch mode, but not walking because the climb could be long!

With Outside Traction Tech 3.0 corrugated edges, the number of edge/snow contact points are multiplied. This gives you an improved edge grip on both the outer and inner edges of your splitboard. These inner edges will be a clear advantage during the ascent phases, especially on frozen slopes.

The eco-designed Topsheet has a hydrophobic effect and prevents the snow from sticking to your skis. Ideal for not getting heavy on the way up! And when it comes to powder, the Mountain Twin Split is like a fish in water and can be easily launched thanks to the two long rockers of the CamRock camber. The 3D Base Contour 2.0 edge curves the ends of the board to further improve lift and turns.

The Mountain Twin Split will delight all snowboarders who want to find the same riding sensations as with the Mountain Twin but for a touring adventure on their own or with friends!

The board is delivered as it is, with the Karakoram Ultra Clip 1.0 included.

Camber:

- CamRock : Classic camber combined with rocker, for greater lift and grip in all snow conditions. Long nose and tip rockers for a huge increase in playfulness and handling. The Camrock considerably improves freestyle performance and powder lift.

Shape:

- Twin Directionel : Symmetrical shape for ultra-nimble handling. Allows for easy switch riding.
- Blunt Nose: the blunt nose provides the lift benefits of a longer nose without the rounded shape and extra weight.
- Bolt-less Bridge: reduces the components of the link box and therefore reducing weight. In addition, the skis are more closely bonded, improving torsional rigidity.
- 3D Contour Base 2.0 : Convex shape of the sole. The edges are raised by 4mm in comparison to the centre of the board.
- Inside& Outside Traction Tech 3.0: The corrugated edges offer multiple contact points along the board which improves grip. This technology offsets the reduced length of the edge/snow contact points due to rocker.
- Progressive Sidecut: The radius at the ends of the sidecut is slightly increased as the edge reaches the contact points. This larger radius ensures a smoother ride when entering and exiting turns.

Forever Flex	A manufacturing process that durably stabilizes the flex and rocker profile of the board.
Control Split Core	Double density wood core: poplar and paulownia. Lightweight and shock absorbing design adapted to the specificities of splitboards
Biax Fiberglass	Fibreglass layer applied in two directions for a precise board that responds to any terrain or snow conditions.
Stainless Steel Reinforcement	- Stainless steel plate reinforcements in the nose and tail of the board to increase its longevity.
Textured Eco-Plastic Topsheet	Topsheet made from castor beans. This environmentally friendly material is ultra-light, chip and scratch resistant and repels water and snow (snow sticks less to the topsheet).
Sintered 8000 base	Sole made from UHMW-PE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) and carbon. Extremely easy to repair, it also offers maximum glide properties.
Flip-Flop Base	Base manufacturing process that reduces waste. Two base colours available, delivered randomly.
Karakoram Ultra Clip	Edges made from recycled steel.
Recycled ABS	The splitboards Jones have Karakoram fasteners as well as hooks on the tail and nose. These tension-adjustable K-clips improve the board's torsional rigidity.
Wend Natural Wax	All Wend boards are waxed with Wend natural wax and are ready to use as soon as they leave the factory.
Bio Resin	All boards Jones products are now built using renewable, bio-based epoxy instead of petroleum-based epoxy.

Team review

Avec un programme inhabituel de rando/freestyle, la Mountain Twin Splitboard 2025 était attendue au tournant. Pourtant une fois dessus, elle se comporte étonnement très bien en montée et permet de s'amuser énormément en descente.

Le petit plus freestyle qu'elle apporte n'est pas négligeable et la rend unique en son genre. A vous les descentes backcountry en switch et les rotations sur les pillows de neige fraiche !

Basée sur la Mountain Twin, Jones ne s'est pas trompé dans les caractéristiques et assure un splitboard très joueur mais aussi et surtout efficace à la montée. Eh oui, on est chez Jones!

Les Plus : fun, maniable et accroche des carres ondulées.

Les Moins : manque de contact des rockers à la montée.
