The Malavita is the favourite binding of the Burton pro team and for good reason! This binding that has been initially developed for freestyle use mainly, is actually a versatile model from which many other bindings should take inspiration.
The ergonomic Asym Hammockstrap™ enables you to easily put on your binding and wrap the boot perfectly, for optimal support.
The medium flex and soft cushioning provided by the Re:Flex AutoCANT FullBED sole pad, enhanced by the addition of B3 gel make the Burton Malavita a very comfortable binding for all-mountain use, allowing you to go both freestyle and off-piste snowboarding.
The Burton Malavita is suitable for advanced riders and even for daredevil intermediate snowboarders who want a binding that will allow them to follow their rapid progression!
Cushioning:
-The AutoCANT FullBED cushioning system is compatible with the Re:Flex mounting system and features dual density EVA to allow you to automatically set your boot in a natural position for better snowboard control and reduced fatigue.
- TheB3 Gel cushioning is designed not to harden at low temperatures and can withstand repeated impacts without breaking down.
Baseplate:
- The single-component construction of the baseplate featuresonly one material throughout, providing a consistent response and feel when used on any terrain
- Nylon composite material blended with 30% fiberglass in the baseplate for a more intense response
Spoiler:
- The sloping rear brace design follows the contours of the legs for maximum control and comfort
- The zero degree rear brace is totally vertical and designed for riders who prefer a more fun and relaxed feel
- The Heel Hammock features a reinforced rubber material which wraps around the heel, providing full suspension for extremely fast response
- The DialFLAD system features a rotary dial to adjust the spoiler forward lean
-The Living Hinge spoiler technology eliminates material and weight, allowing for independent adjustment of your front tilt and spoiler rotation.
Straps :
- The Asym Hammockstrap features a durable, low-profile design with an asymmetrical cushion and spine shape which wraps around the boot for exceptional response.
- The Supergrip 2.0 capstrap is fully injected, for waste reduction. It also features a rubber overmold to hold the strap in place and increase grip, while wrapping the toe area.
Buckles:
- The Double Take buckles offer faster slip on, tongue adjustment and tightening with fewer pawls for greatly increased power, speed and ease of use.
Mounting :
- The Re:Flex mounting system dramatically improves flex and snowboard feel, while reducing weight.
- Universally compatible with the mounting systems of all current snowboards, including 4x4, 3D®, and The Channel® models
